Eqstra Industrial Equipment (“EIE”) has added two new SAME Deutz-Fahr models to its range of tractors for the agricultural industry. The recently launched models, the 54 hp SAME Frutteto Natural and the 65 hp SAME Explorer Special, were introduced to the industry at the recent Nampo agricultural trade show in May this year, with orders already having been received. EIE is the licensed distributor for SAME Deutz-Fahr (SDF) products in Southern Africa.
The two new models, positioned as entry level tractors, offer the market the superior product quality that have made SAME Deutz-Fahr tractors renowned worldwide, but at a price suited to tight budgets. The models were custom designed for South African conditions by SAME Deutz-Fahr, based on input from EIE and its in-depth understanding of the unique requirements of the local agricultural sector.
Simple to use and offering ease of maintenance with an overlapping parts range, the new models provide high productivity and durability, excellent comfort and exceptional fuel economy. They also offer other advanced features of the Explorer and Frutteto range, including excellent selection of gear ratios and pump delivery, a three point pick up, and an all-wheel and self-adjusting braking system, with oil-bath discs and hydrostatic control, for superior passive and active safety.
Providing a budget alternative to the higher specification models, the 54 hp Frutteto Natural and 65 hp Explorer Special complete EIE’s range of high performance tractors.
“As a result, we can now offer the agricultural industry a tractor suitable for all ‘pockets’, from small emerging farmers to the large agricultural co-operatives,” says EIE Product Specialist, Peet Swanepoel.
The new 54 hp SAME Frutteto Natural complements the existing Frutteto suite of models (from 60 hp to 90 hp) marketed by EIE. This compact multi-role tractor is available in both two and four wheel drive. A combination of simplicity and strength, the SAME Frutteto’s reduced dimensions and robustness of its components, make it ideal both for specialised crops and open field work.
The 65 hp Explorer Special joins EIE’s current range of Explorer models (from 85 hp to 110 hp) and is the faithful work horse for farmers who need an all-round two wheel or four-wheel drive tractor. The tractor, which has a 1000 Series 4-cylinder SDF engine for high performance at low operating costs, is an extremely versatile tractor that is easy to use and maintain.
As with the complete range of SAME Deutz-Fahr agricultural equipment, all components of the two new models are manufactured and assembled by SAME Deutz-Fahr, giving the company tight control over quality assurance. The Explorer is assembled at the company’s Italian plant, while the Frutteto is assembled at the SAME Deutz-Fahr 100 % owned plant in Turkey, using SDF Italian-manufactured components.
With the exclusive distribution rights in Southern Africa for SAME Deutz-Fahr tractors and combine harvesters, EIE provides machines for almost every agricultural application. The superior quality and technical features of these products are in line with EIE’s commitment to best-in-class brands and delivering optimal life-time value.
Forging partnerships for life with its customer, EIE offers a comprehensive range of services to the agricultural sector, which includes long and short term rentals, parts supply, service and maintenance contracts, sales of new and used equipment and parts and operator driver training.
